E-MOBILITY IN LÜBECK
Electric vehicles with corresponding labelling can park free of charge in public parking spaces in Lübeck marked with the blue parking sign for up to three hours while they are charging, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. – or for up to two hours at rapid-charging stations.
Please note: this rule does not apply to private parking areas, such as multi-storey car parks.
At selected locations, electric vehicles with corresponding labelling may also park free of charge when they are not charging. In this case, please use a clearly visible parking disc. These parking zones are indicated in the smartphone parking app and at the ticket machine. They are not specifically marked at the parking location.
Free parking for electric vehicles under the German Electromobility Act (EmoG)
Free parking applies for the specific maximum parking period and requires the vehicle to be labelled clearly as follows:
- An official number plate with the code ‘E’ added after the identification number (e.g. HL-XY 123E)
- A blue badge for foreign vehicles, clearly visible on the rear of the vehicle (issued by the regulatory authority)
- Corresponding foreign number plates or badges that indicate electrically powered vehicles
An overview of the available charging points in cooperation with KWL GmbH is available here. Additional sites can be accessed by using an e-charge card.
The map does not include all charging station locations and is being added to continuously.
Please get in touch with us if you know of other locations you would like us to add.
